The Forza Horizon team did one HECK of a fantastic game with their fifth opus! Forza Horizon collaborated with celebrated Mexican and Latinx artists to create splendid murals. We were then mandated to help them create several Xbox Series S consoles & controllers featuring the murals, to be given as gifts to each artist.

FORZA HORIZON 5

Forza Horizon 5 is set in Mexico. Since the Forza team wanted to ensure its world’s authenticity, they collaborated with famous artists like Farid Rueda, Star27, Spaik, Senkoe, Raul Urias and Cix to design splendid murals for Forza Horizon 5, available at various in-game locations.

Forza Horizon 5 is not only a fantastic racing game: it’s also an incredible celebration of Mexico, its music, cars, and traditions.

CREATIVE PROCESS

Every mural was created using an artist’s unique perspective. Rueda, for example, combines Mexican colours with universally recognizable animals. Urias focuses more on elements from his Chihuahua home, like the Tarahumara culture, the landscapes, ceramics and the flora. Senkoe’s art is heavily inspired by graffiti culture and nature.

All murals represent the land, the weather, the seasons’ change, the sounds and more intricate parts of Mexico, making Forza Horizon 5 more striking and immersive.

Each console is adorned with the artist’s signature, laser-printed, with a gloss finish. Take a look at the consoles and the artworks from Forza Horizon 5 below:
