When Adidas and Minecraft teamed up to launch a kidsâ apparel collection and exclusive inâgame skins, they wanted to extend the collaboration beyond clothing and digital content. They were looking for something physical, collectible that could bridge both worlds.
Adidas teamed up with TAKEOFF Creative to craft 45 custom Xbox controllers and 25 consoles, each one numbered and designed as a oneâofâaâkind piece. These exclusive items were offered as a giveaway on their reward system, adiClub.
Bringing Adidas and Minecraft together meant finding a visual language where clean sportswear design could meet playful pixel art without feeling forced. Our team began by dissecting the apparel collection, its textures, stitching, and color blocking and pairing those cues with Minecraftâs iconic geometry.
Inside the TAKEOFF Atelier, every unit went through a full handcrafted transformation. We layered handâpainted gradients, applied matte wraps, and sculpted leatherâeffect side panels with embossed Adidas branding and both logos. We pushed the craft further with 3Dâprinted stitching, laces, tags, and interchangeable joysticks, each element echoing sneaker culture while staying rooted in the Minecraft universe.

The final set of 45 controllers and 25 consoles stands as a fusion of two worlds: the precision and heritage of Adidas, and the creativity and charm of Minecraft.
By blending traditional handâfinishing with advanced 3D printing, TAKEOFF delivered a limitedâedition collectible that elevated the collaboration and offered fans something truly unexpected.
