Sea of Thieves – Custom Xbox Controller

To celebrate the game’s 7th anniversary in March 2025, Microsoft asked us to design a Sea of Thieves custom Xbox controller inspired by the Megalodon — one of the game’s most iconic and terrifying creatures.

Sea of Thieves is an open-world action-adventure game by Rare, published by Xbox Game Studios. Players take on the role of pirates exploring a vast ocean, full of surprises, hidden treasures, and legendary creatures. It’s a game built on adventure, teamwork, and a rich world full of stories.

CREATIVE PROCESS
We went all-in on the details. Each controller features a rugged, 3D-textured surface, sharp teeth, custom buttons, and hand-painted finishes. We even added a sculpted dorsal fin and the Megalodon’s glowing double pupils — a signature look fans will instantly recognize.
The result is a wild, eye-catching design that brings the creature to life — like it’s ready to jump out of the water and pull you into the game.
The Devourer Sweepstakes runs until May 12, giving players a chance to win one of these unique controllers made just for the occasion.
